ABOUT THE TRIP
TOV is excited to announce an updated volunteer trip to Israel, focusing on rebuilding – following the October 7th attack and it’s impact on Israeli society.
Israel needs our active support. This trip offers a unique opportunity to stand in solidarity with the people of Israel, contributing directly to the rebuilding of homes and communities. Through hands-on work, we’ll help restore hope, safety, and dignity to those impacted, while connecting deeply with the people of Israel and witnessing their resilience firsthand.
This trip is open to community members 18 and over. Spots are filling up fast - don’t miss out on this chance to be part of a transformative experience!
ELIGIBILITY
All participants must be at least 18 years of age. Participants should expect to be on their feet a large part of the day and should be able to complete moderate physical labor.
TRIP DATES
Programming is scheduled to begin Monday, May 19, 2025 and conclude after dinner on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
You are free to book any flights that suit your schedule. However, if you are not taking the reccomended flight and in order to participate in all programming, you must arrive at the Grand Beach Hotel Tel Aviv (HaYarkon St 250, Tel Aviv-Yafo, 63113) no later 8:30 AM on Monday, May 19. On Thursday, May 22 the group will head to the airport together from dinner.
TRIP PACKAGE
The trip cost is not to exceed $2,500 per person*. Package includes double occupancy hotel accommodations, transportation to/from scheduled programming, all meals except one dinner on own, all programming including volunteering, activities, and speakers, taxes, and gratuities. This also includes airport transfer for those traveling on the recommended flights to/from Israel. The cost of a single occupancy room is an additional $290. *Final mission cost to be determined by final vendor pricing, confirmation of itinerary and number of participants.
The trip cost does not include airfare.
FLIGHTS
Participants are responsible for booking their own flights. If you would like assistance booking your flights, we recommend using our preferred travel provider Traveland. Ticket costs are subject to availability. We encourage you to contact Traveland and/or book your ticket as soon as possible.
PASSPORT and VISA
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your final day of travel. Please check your passport well in advance of the trip. All U.S. Citizens need an Electronic Travel Authorization(ETA-IL) to enter Israel and must apply before departure.
To complete the form, you will need:

- A valid passport
You will need to complete your application in one go – you cannot save your progress and continue later. If there will be no activity for 30 minutes, the service will time out. Your answers will be deleted and you will need to start again.

HOTEL
Participants will stay at Grand Beach Hotel Tel Aviv (HaYarkon St 250, Tel Aviv-Yafo, 63113). The cost of the trip includes double occupancy rooms, but participants may upgrade to their own room for an additional flat fee of $290. Hotel rooms are reserved beginning Monday, May 19 and conclude after check out on Thursday, May 22. If you would like your room before or after the trip dates, we can help with the reservation.
Cost for a room before/after the program:
Single room - $185 per night per person
Double room - $105 per night per person

TRIP INSURANCE
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive trip insurance to protect yourself in the event you need to cancel your participation on the trip, due to a covered reason. The cost of travel insurance is based upon the traveler's age, state of residence, and insured trip cost. To be eligible for the Cancel for Any Reason option (CFAR) you must purchase within 14 days of making your initial deposit. Please note, an act of war is excluded from coverage of benefits.
SECURITY
JUF's top priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our community. JUF is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East. Should it be deemed unsafe to travel, we will communicate updates in a timely manner.
Besides having a security guard with us at all times during the trip, our trip provider Shorashim is in contact with Israel's leading field trip advisory organization Moked Teva (AKA "Situation Room") who will be monitoring the situation and where our bus is at all times.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE & CANCELLATION POLICY FOR LAND-ONLY COSTS
- $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration to guarantee your spot.
- The balance must be paid in full by April 1st.
- Cancelations before April 1st will be eligible for a refund less the $1,000 deposit.
- Cancelations on or after April 1st will not be eligible for a refund.
- Please note that the trip is contingent on reaching a minimum of 15 participants. If the trip is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
